Rectangular Connectors

HCC has a long history of manufacturing D-Subminiature, Rack & Panel and Micro-D Subminiature connectors. Specifically, we have the capability to manufacture to the following mil specs, as well as produce customized product.

Mil-C-24308/9 D Subminiature

DH Subminiature Rack & Panel D Connectors are manufactured to the requirements of Mil-C-24308/9. The standard cold rolled and/or stainless steel body material comes with #52 alloy gold plated contacts. Standard finish is electro-tin fused. Other finishes are available. The insulator is made of a compression sealed glass. This product is QPL’d at HCC.

The ideal use for these connectors is in electronic and electrical equipment, for commercial and defense, airborne, ground support or shipboard systems. The size and weight lends the connector to various applications and the D shape ensures a positive polarization.

Mil-C-28748 Rack & Panel

Type HM (Miniature)

This line of miniatures has found broad acceptance among manufacturers as the standard connector in many “black box” applications, including telemetering equipment. All Type HM connectors mate with Mil-C-28748 non-hermetic connectors.

Type HSM (Subminiature)

As space and weight considerations increase in importance, these subminiatures are often the answer. Their small size and rugged characteristics make them ideal for miniaturized equipment in aircraft, missiles, communications, and many other instrumentation applications.

Type HMM (Micro-Miniature)

Exceptional space and weight savings, for the ultimate in miniaturization. These micro-miniatures are compression sealed. The bodies and pins are fused to glass, thereby providing reliability that meets or exceeds Mil-C-28748.

Mil-C-83513 Microminiature D

The MDH Series Microminiature Rack and Panel D Connectors are manufactured to the requirement of Mil-C-83513. The standard connector comes with a durable Kovar body material and gold plated Kovar contacts. The insulator is made of a matched or compression sealed glass to comply with thermal properties of various body/contact materials. A resilient fluoro silicone rubber interfacial seal may also be provided as a moisture barrier.

Use of these connectors is ideal for electronic or electrical equipment, for commercial and defense (airborne, ground support or shipboard). The connector’s size and weight lends to various applications and the D shape ensures a positive polarization.

Micro Ds are inherently non-hermetic. HCC offers a hermetic equivalent.
